Presidential Teaching Professor Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering
Teaching Expertise and Approach
Purush teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the industrial and systems engineering. He describes his approach to teaching as follows:
"I believe in learning by doing. I ensure my students are engaged and ensure they all get to work on real-life projects in each of my course. I value time and offer my time in many ways to train our students. I try my best to break any barriers that prevent students to approach me. I promote and engage in active communication with all my students inside and outside the classroom."
