Teaching Expertise and Approach

Professor Pohlman teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Mechanical Engineering. His student-centered teaching philosophy indicates the approach:

"Students have their own lantern to lead them along the path of learning. Some need more fuel to brighten the flame (motivation) while others need help pointing the light in the right direction (instruction). I appreciate that all students have different paths and require different methods to achieve outcomes, but the emphasis is learning and not just trying to get the grade."
