Welcome to the Self-Paced Transitioning to Blackboard Ultra Course View Workshop!

Learn the basics of creating and developing a course in the Blackboard Ultra Course View, the completely redesigned course experience in Blackboard. NIU is in the process of transitioning to the Ultra Course View. Faculty can choose to begin using the Ultra Course View at any time. The Original Course View will remain available until December 31, 2023, although we recommend teaching in the Ultra Course View by the Fall 2023 semester. This self-paced workshop is meant to help you learn about and transition your course to the Ultra Course View.

The workshop includes an overview of the Ultra Course View navigation and tools as well as strategies for building your course efficiently. Throughout, the workshop also includes best practices for creating a great experience for your students.

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

• Write a document that (1) organizes course content by module and (2) for each module, aligns the module objectives, assessments, content, and activities 
• Complete all tasks needed to create a fully developed Ultra course
• Apply "best practices" for teaching and developing online courses into your Ultra course

NIU faculty and instructors may also choose to complete the fully facilitated Blackboard Ultra Transition Academy, which includes the opportunity to partner with a Blackboard Ultra Ambassador and connect with colleagues who are also making the transition.
