We are excited to announce the launch of a new initiative aimed at continuing to foster excellence in teaching and learning at NIU. As part of our ongoing commitment to faculty development and student success, we invite you to self-nominate as a Faculty Teaching Mentor who will provide guidance and teaching support to fellow faculty members.
The Faculty Teaching Mentors are a team of experienced and knowledgeable faculty (tenure track, instructional, or clinical) who are available to provide advice, recommendations and mentoring to their colleagues on teaching.
This new program, being piloted for the 2024-2025 academic year, aims to build a vibrant teaching community at NIU and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our university’s teaching excellence while gaining professional recognition and development.

Please complete the brief self-nomination form to express your interest and provide information about your teaching experience and areas of expertise. The selection process will involve consultation with the Innovative Teaching and Learning Advisory Committee (ITLAC) and the Office of the Provost.
Deadline: Please submit your self-nomination by Friday, August 25th.
