Membership of Innovative Teaching and Learning Advisory Committee

  1. The Innovative Teaching and Learning Advisory Committee (ITLAC) shall be appointed by the associate vice provost for teaching, learning, and digital education, with the advice and consent of the executive vice president and provost, and shall consist of 10 members:

    Eight faculty members, one from each of the seven colleges, selected by the respective college dean; one additional member from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences shall be appointed to represent one of the three areas of humanities, social sciences or other sciences, on a rotating basis;

    One member from the University Libraries, selected by the dean of the University Libraries;

    One member from the supportive professional staff or civil service, selected by the Supportive Professional Staff Council or Operating Staff Council;

    The associate vice provost for teaching, learning, and digital education and directors of the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning shall serve as ex officio, nonvoting members.

    The chair shall be selected by the members of the committee.

    The members shall serve three-year staggered terms.

  2. Duties

    The duties of the Innovative Teaching and Learning Advisory Committee shall be:

    1. To act as an advisory body to the associate vice provost for teaching, learning, and digital education and the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning;
    2. To review programs, resources, and services developed by the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning;
    3. To review and assess award proposals submitted to the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning;

    The committee reports to the associate vice provost for teaching, learning, and digital education.

    Minutes of the meetings of the Innovative Teaching and Learning Advisory Committee shall be distributed to the executive vice president and provost, the provost's staff, and the associate vice provost for teaching, learning, and digital education.

    The ITLAC meets approximately twice per semester; the schedule is set per committee members' availability.
