Affordable Course Materials Survey

In alignment with NIU presidential goals regarding student recruitment, student success and student experience, academic excellence and curricular innovation, and diversity, equity and inclusion, the Course Material Affordability Task Force seeks to better understand how course materials are chosen by faculty and the impact that course material costs have on students as well as to celebrate and commend faculty who make every effort to keep their course materials affordable for students.

In March 2021, all NIU faculty and teaching assistants were invited to complete a brief survey to share how they've incoporated no-cost or low-cost course materials in their teaching. A summary of responses received is provide below.
