About the Division of Academic Affairs

The Division of Academic Affairs is comprised of the university's colleges and libraries, the Graduate School and vital units that support student success and academic enhancement and quality. We provide resources and guidance to the campus community and contribute to NIU's inclusive and stimulating educational environment.

As the university's chief academic officer, the executive vice president and provost leads division priorities and operations, setting strategic direction for academic programs, faculty development and student learning.

The Division of Academic Affairs advances NIU's vision of being a diverse and student-centered university where students, faculty and staff pursue academic excellence, generate new knowledge through research and artistry and prepare for meaningful and successful careers.
