Printing Stationery and Marketing Materials

Order artwork for business cards, letterhead and marketing materials from Creative Services, then print on campus or through an external vendor. NIU no longer operates a print storefront.

Looking for academic conference posters? This page covers marketing and stationery printing. For research poster printing, see University Libraries poster printing services.

Before you print: anything bearing the university logo or a sub-brand logo must be reviewed by University Marketing's Clearinghouse for brand compliance, no matter where it is printed. Posters and flyers going on campus bulletin boards also need a poster stamp applied before printing.

Request Artwork

Submit a Creative Services request for any of the following. You will receive a print-ready file along with technical specifications, such as paper stock and ink, to share with your vendor.

  • Business cards
  • Letterhead and envelopes
  • Digital letterhead for your area in Microsoft Word format

Where to Print

On Campus

Most basic print needs, including flyers, programs and posters up to 11 by 17 inches, can be produced in your department using a campus AnywherePrinter.

For a higher-quality finish than regular copy paper, order 24-pound premium laser paper through ODP Business Solutions.

External Vendors

For business cards, stationery, large-format work and large print runs, you choose the vendor and initiate the purchase request under university procurement procedures.

For large quantities, request quotes from several vendors to find the best price for your specifications and deadline. Contact Procurement Services to start the process.

Local Vendors

For quick-turnaround items such as booklets and large-format signs, departments have used Banner Up Signs, Castle PrinTech, Le Print Express, Provident Direct and Upstaging.

These are examples rather than preferred or endorsed vendors.
