AIMS Mobile Pay (AMP) is a convenient way to find and pay for timed parking at NIU. Keep an eye out for AMP parking signs on campus or check the AMP website or app.
You can purchase AMP parking in one-hour increments. The rate is $1.20 per hour for up to four hours. You can also purchase AMP parking for the day for $6 (some restrictions apply). Your session will expire at 11:59 pm the day the session is purchased.
There are a few ways to get started with AMP:
Then, create an account.
On the AMP website or app, select Allow when it asks you to share your location. Alternatively, you can search for Northern Illinois University. Use the map to find a designated AMP parking area. AMP parking is divided into different zones. You can see your zone on the map and on the AMP sign in the parking area.
On the AMP website or app, enter your zone and vehicle information. Indicate how long you want to stay, then pay on your device. A Parking Session screen will display your transaction details, the expiration time and a countdown.
Once your session starts, you cannot change your zone or license plate. If you entered incorrect information, you must start a new session using the correct information.
You can add time to a current session on the AMP website or app.
