Illinois Public Community College Graduates
A graduate of an Illinois public community college who has not previously attended Northern Illinois University will be admitted to NIU with junior standing. All NIU general education requirements will be considered complete if you have the following qualifications prior to enrolling at NIU:
Be in good standing at the last college attended
At least a "C" average (2.00 on a 4.00 scale) as calculated by the community college
An associate's degree (A.A. or A.S.) in a baccalaureate-oriented program
Applied science degrees (A.A.S.) do not meet this requirement
