Communicating and Collaborating

The communication and collaboration tools available within Blackboard serve as an integral part of the teaching process. Collaboration tools such as Class Collaborate, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom allow for synchronous (real-time) communication. These real-time tools allow for group meetings, study groups, and even online office hours to take place. Because these sessions can be archived or recorded, it is possible for users to review them at a later date. Asynchronous (not at the same time) tools include: AnnouncementsDiscussions, Journals, and Messages
