Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost


The Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost provides leadership and guidance to a range of academic and administrative units on campus. The executive vice president and provost's responsibilities include:

  • Serving as NIU's chief academic officer and leading the Division of Academic Affairs.
  • Overseeing Human Resource Services, Institutional Effectiveness, Student Affairs and Academic Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (ADEI also reports to the president).
  • Participating in all matters related to university budgets.
  • Serving on several university committees and councils.
