Purpose:
This record series consists of various forms and reference materials (class lists, enrollment projections, etc.) used in developing time and instructor assignment schedules for the courses offered by the department.
Procedure:
Retain in office for two (2) years or until expiration of administrative value, whichever is longer, then dispose of.

Purpose:
This record series consists of invoice and travel vouchers, purchase orders, purchase requisitions, travel requests, and billings. Originals or record copies of these records are maintained by the Accounting Office and the Purchasing Office.
Procedure:
Retain in office for three (3) years, then dispose of provided all audits have been completed under the supervision of the Auditor General, if necessary, and no litigation is pending or anticipated.
This record series consists of the personnel files for the Department of Communication Studies covering both faculty and civil service employees. Information contained within these files includes vitae, merit evaluations, raises, salaries, date hired, etc. Original personnel files are maintained by the Provost's Office.
Procedure:
Retain in office for five (5) years following separation from employment, then dispose of provided no litigation is pending or anticipated.
Information contained in this file includes grade reports, resumes, letters of recognition, major and minor declarations, waiver forms, change cards, withdrawal forms, etc. Request copies of student files are maintained by the Office of Registration and Records.
Procedure:
Retain in office for five (5) years after separation from University, then dispose of provided no litigation is pending or anticipated.
