Downloading a Portfolio

The Blackboard portfolio tool is intended for creating academic portfolios, meaning those that showcase your academic work. When you graduate, you will no longer be able to access Blackboard to edit or share your portfolio. However, you can download a copy of your portfolio to use after you graduate.

To Download a Portfolio

  1. Log in to Blackboard and access the My Portfolios page
  2. Click the More link for the portfolio you wish to download
  3. From the menu, click Download
  4. In the pop-up window, click the Click to download Portfolio link

When you download a portfolio from Blackboard, it is converted into a .zip file of html pages. To use it, extract the files and click the index.html file to view the portfolio. You can upload the files to a web server to share it with others. You can edit the downloaded portfolio using any html editor, such as Dreamweaver or Notepad++.
