Required Annual Sexual Misconduct Awareness and Prevention Training

All new students including transfers are required to complete the training. This training includes information on resources, advocacy, sexual misconduct and strategies on how to become an active bystander. Learn more about conduct prohibited by the university.

Access Training

Training will be available during assigned dates for students and employees. To access training:

  1. Access Blackboard Learn
  2. Log in using your NIU Account
    • ID Z-ID for students (even if you are a student employee)
    • A-ID for employees
  3. Click on the Organization tab
  4. Under Organizations, you will see Sexual Misconduct Awareness and Prevention Training.  Select this module and complete the training

To successfully complete training, you must score at least 80% on the final test. Once you complete the training you will be able to access your completion certificate.

NIU employees including student employees will receive a notice from Human Resources concerning training requirements. You must give a copy of your completion certificate to your supervisor.  This can be done via a screenshot.
