Virtual Safety Options

The NIU Safe app has several features to help you stay safe while walking:

• The Mobile Blue Light feature instantly shares your location with NIU police.
• The Virtual Walkhome feature allows a police dispatcher to track your location as you walk to a specific location.
• The Friend Walk feature allows a friend to track you until you reach your destination.
