Judge registration for CURE will open in January 2026.
Faculty
Faculty judges play a crucial role in this exciting event, providing important feedback for presenters to gain and improve upon skills in clearly and effectively communicating the relevance of their project and its impact. Students ranked in the top of their respective categories will receive a monetary award.
Judging consists of rating a student's poster presentation on the following categories:
- Focused topic or the "what"
- Significance/relevance or the "why"
- Process/methods or the "how"
- Use of visuals/displays
- Oral presentation
- References
Thank you for your interest in serving as a judge. This event could not take place without the generous service of our faculty.
Graduate Students
This year, we are partnering with the graduate school to offer a select number of judging slots to graduate students. This is a professional development opportunity through which graduate students will gain valuable training and experience geared towards assessing undergraduate research accurately and constructively.
Selected applicants will be required to attend a workshop focused on:
- Appropriate expectations
- Feedback quality
- Assessing poster and presentation quality
- Openness to a breadth of research and engagement projects
- Culturally informed and respectful engagement
