Join Rising Scholars, a recruitment program that provides mentoring opportunities and helps you develop into a competitive fellowship applicant or graduate/professional school applicant.
How It Works
1
August: Find Your Invitation
Second-year students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher will receive an email invitation to become Rising Scholars in the fall of their second year.
2
September: Attend the Rising Scholars Conference
Attend the Rising Scholars Conference in the fall of your sophomore year. You'll have the opportunity to meet with campus resources about opportunities in research, pre-health professions, public service, study abroad and assistance with funding!
3
Stay Connected
You'll be included in a Microsoft Teams group where further opportunities and information will be shared regularly. We'll connect you to workshops on how to get funding, turning your research into a resume and more. There is also a 1 credit hour National Fellowships course each fall (HON 305) for those serious about gaining a competitive advantage and applying for additional opportunities.
