College of Education faculty applying for promotion and/or tenure will use an online packet template in their case that includes the following form and file upload fields along with these provided instruction prompts.

  • Effective Date of Promotion/Tenure (Date Promotion / Tenure will become effective, if approved)

  • Number of Years in Present Rank at NIU (Number of years must include the current academic year when the promotion and/or tenure application is reviewed at the university level)

Describe the nature of any non-teaching assignment (typically administrative, grant, or partnership work). Other information that may be included:

  • documentation of feedback from those persons affected by the quality of professional performance in this assignment
  • feedback from the person supervising the non-teaching assignment (particularly in administrative roles)
