Northern Illinois University uses Interfolio Review, Promotion and Tenure (RPT) to support faculty workflows for key academic review processes including promotion and tenure. Interfolio provides a secure, central platform for submitting materials, managing committee reviews and tracking progress through each stage of review—all aligned with NIU policy and timelines.

Completing this form is not a substitute for your unit-level processes, and your submission neither prohibits nor precludes your 2026-2027 application. It's important to note that no requirements are changing for promotion and tenure consideration at NIU with the implementation of the Interfolio system. You should submit the materials already required in your department’s bylaws and follow the usual submission timeline established by your department.
