With mobile technologies like smartphones and tablets, students can access course materials from anywhere and engage in learning activities while on the go. While this quite obviously has convenience benefits, being on-location also opens up new possibilities for learning activities and strategies. During this online session offered 1/31/2013, we discussed how location-based apps might be used in learning activities and investigated how students can use photo, video, and audio capabilities on-location to learn, record, and reflect on their experiences in the real world.
