eBooks can be highly interactive with embedded multimedia like photos, video, and hyperlinks. They also can be personalized by changing the layout, adding notations, and highlighting significant passages. In addition to these great features, eBooks are portable and can be viewed from a desktop or laptop, a tablet, a smartphone, or a dedicated e-reader. In this online session offered 4/20/12, we discussed the devices and formats used for eBooks, demonstrated the features and use of eBooks, described some tools that create eBooks, and provided tips for incorporating eBooks into courses.
