Recording Arts and Media Technologies

Join us as an undergraduate or graduate student to study recording arts and media technologies. For undergraduate students, our Bachelor of Arts degree is the ideal combination of practical coursework and hands-on experiences tailored to your interests.

This area of study is designed for the modern engineer and musician and combines audio, video and computer technologies. You'll gain knowledge and experience in:

  • Studio and location recording techniques
  • Audio postproduction for video
  • Acoustics and studio design
  • Webcasting and robotic camera operation using Internet2 technology
  • Live sound and event logistics
  • Lighting and rigging for the performing arts

You'll have opportunities to:

  • Participate in ensembles and take lessons on your primary instrument
  • Work with WNIU/WNIJ and other organizations
  • Collaborate with students from the School of Theatre and Dance and other areas
