Your general education requirements in Foundational Studies focus on your ability to communicate effectively, perform basic math calculations and collaborate with others. Building your skills in these areas will give you a strong base to build on as you pursue your degree.

Foundational Studies requirements consist of the following:

  • Two courses in writing composition.
  • One course in oral communication.
  • One course in quantitative literacy.

You can meet the requirements by completing courses, with transfer credit or by passing exams.
