National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) Chapters - Sororities
Known as the “Divine Nine,” the organizations in the National Pan-Hellenic Council (HPHC) were founded before the Civil Rights Movement. By joining one of these historically African American chapters, you make a lifelong commitment to education and community service.
How to Join
The process for joining an NPHC chapter is called member intake or rush. There’s no set time of year NPHC chapters accept new members, and they might not accept new members every semester. To join an NPHC chapter, start by attending their events. Check their social media and look for campus signage to learn what’s coming up.
