- Federal recommendations are to avoid gatherings of more than 10 people. This is not just for social gatherings but also for use as we look at our chapter facilities. If you are able to go home, we recommend that you do so and that you quarantine yourself there to the best of your ability.
- The university does not own our chapter facilities. Students living in off-campus housing (including chapter facilities) should work with their lease holder (landlord or housing corporation) to determine what options are available to them in terms of lease cancellations and/or refunds. Students’ Legal Assistance (firstname.lastname@example.org) can assist with students in understanding their rights under leases.
As part of the university’s response to the rapid spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), all Fraternity and Sorority Life staff will be working remotely until further notice. The best method of communication is via email.
OASIS offices are temporarily closed. Please contact the staff corresponding to each functional area for your questions. For general questions, email email@example.com.

Welcome to Fraternity and Sorority Life at NIU!
Our mission is to advocate for fraternities and sororities within the NIU community. We promote an understanding of organization and individual member responsibilities in accordance with university rules and regulations. We also encourage fraternities and sororities to provide their members with experiences that lead to personal and professional growth, development and education.
