Our mission is to advocate for fraternities and sororities within the NIU community, and we will continue to do so this fall as we work together on ways to promote health and well-being while navigating through the challenges created by COVID-19.
We promote an understanding of the organization and individual member responsibilities in accordance with university rules and regulations. We also encourage fraternities and sororities to provide their members with experiences that lead to personal and professional growth, development and education.
We’re aware that things are changing every day, and we continue to adjust our fall plans as needed. Please be patient and continue to check your email or contact us if you have any questions. As of now, our guidelines for the fall semester include:
- Panhellenic and IFC Formal recruitments are taking place this semester. Register today!
- A continuation of monthly presidents’ meetings being held virtually through Microsoft Teams.
- The creation of a resource document on how chapters can increase cleaning and disinfecting at chapter facilities, as well as ways in which activities can be continued virtually.
