About the Division

At the Division of Enrollment Management, Marketing and Communications, we share NIU news and information with campus and the world. We coordinate the university's communication channels and resources to attract a diverse mix of prospective students.

Our marketing and communications staff includes graphic designers, writers, photographers and other specialists. They work in a variety of print and digital formats. The materials they create align with the NIU brand, which creates a consistent experience for internal and external audiences.

The professionals in our enrollment management area provide support to new and prospective students. Our advisors and counselors guide students through the admission and financial aid processes, and introduce them to campus life.

Strategic Enrollment Management Plan

Each unit within the division plays a role in NIU's Strategic Enrollment Management Plan. The five-year plan aims to bring more students to NIU, with a focus on students from diverse backgrounds. Division staff work toward the plan's goals by implementing strategies such as:
