StaffFest

The Operating Staff Council and Supportive Professional Staff (SPS) Council are proud to announce the return of StaffFest 2025 in a joint celebration. Please save the date for Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Details will be added to this page as they become available including the RSVP link, menu and itinerary.

StaffFest (formerly Civil Service Celebration) was created by OSC in 1998 and is held annually. The purpose of the event is to celebrate the great work done by NIU's employees throughout the year and is supported by NIU leadership. Employees are provided with lunch, often served up by administrators and can participate in events to raise money for the Operating Staff Dependent Endowed Scholarship. Past celebrations have included a dunk tank, pie toss, outdoor games, a photo booth and crafts. The event is planned by a university-wide committee.
