An emergency fund has been established to assist full-time status civil service employees who are facing economic crisis. The fund is overseen by a committee that works together to solicit donations for the fund, evaluate applications and distribute funds.
Eligible employees may receive up to $500 in a 12-month period. Awards will be subject to fund availability.
Please consider helping your fellow Huskies. You can give online on the NIU Foundation website by selecting the Civil Service Emergency Fund in the "available designations" dropdown.
You can also contribute by sending a check, with Civil Service Emergency Fund written on the memo line, to:
Northern Illinois University Foundation
Altgeld Hall 138
DeKalb, IL 60115-2882
You can also set up a payroll deduction. Just fill out the form, prefilled for the Civil Service Emergency Fund, and return it to the NIU Foundation, Altgeld Hall 138
Contact email@example.com with any questions, or to start a coin drive in your department.
Unfortunately we had to pause applications temporarily to raise more funds. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to be notified when the application is open again.
