Civil Service Emergency Fund

NIU Civil Service employees are the backbone of our university who keep the campus running smoothly. Yet, many of these dedicated employees struggle to make ends meet when unexpected financial hardships arise whether due to medical emergencies, housing crises, or unforeseen expenses.

The Civil Service Emergency Fund provides a critical safety net, offering up to $500 in assistance to civil service staff facing financial emergencies.

You can make a difference. By donating to the Civil Service Emergency Fund, you’re helping support the very people who support our university. Every contribution, big or small, helps ensure our colleagues don’t face these challenges alone.

Giving Is Easy

You can donate online through the NIU Foundation website by typing Civil Service Emergency Fund in the search bar or through payroll deductions.
