Welcome to Zeta Gamma! We're the NIU chapter of Phi Beta Delta, an international honor society. Phi Beta Delta raises awareness of the importance of international experiences in higher education. It helps connect those on campus who are involved in international programs and recognizes their achievements. Our members include international and U.S. students, scholars, faculty and staff. We welcome you to join us!
If you're a faculty or staff member, or a scholar, you can either apply or be nominated for membership. When considering new members, we look for active involvement in international experiences, including the following:
If you're an undergraduate, graduate or international student, you can either apply or be nominated for membership. You'll need to meet credit hour and grade point average (GPA) requirements in order to qualify.

Exchange students: If you have an outstanding academic record at your home institution, you're not subject to the credit hour requirement.

U.S. students and lawful permanent residents: You must have successfully completed a credit-bearing study abroad program through NIU or participated in a prestigious international fellowship such as MIRT, Fulbright or Marshall.
International (nonimmigrant) students: You must hold a nonimmigrant visa and demonstrate interest and commitment to international understanding at NIU.
