Fulbright Program

The Fulbright Program is the U.S. government's leading international exchange program. It provides opportunities for students and scholars to study, research and teach in countries around the world. Many NIU students and faculty members have received Fulbright awards over the years.

The Division of International Affairs provides support and resources to NIU students and faculty who want to apply for a Fulbright award. NIU also hosts an annual Fulbright Gateway Orientation for scholars from other countries who received awards for projects in the U.S.

If you're a current student, read our Fulbright information for students to get started.

If you're a faculty member, please refer to our Fulbright information for faculty. We also ask for your help in encouraging your best students to apply for an award.
