Partner Training

Human Resource Services partners with many others on campus to provide training opportunities the NIU community. Check out some of our partners below:

• Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning offers comprehensive services supporting excellence and innovation in teaching, whether in person, online or in between, for everyone who teaches at NIU.
• Employee Assistance Program and Training Center offers a wide variety of training and coaching sessions which focus on areas of self improvement, professional development and work-related topics. Regularly scheduled programs for staff and faculty, a Supervisor Training Program, brief lunch hour sessions and customized departmental training requests are also available.
• Leading Employees to Success (L.E.T.S.) New Employee Program: a comprehensive onboarding program designed to assist new employees and their supervisors through their first year at NIU.
• Staff Professional Development Academy is a year long, cohort-style professional development and educational program open to all non-academic, full-time civil service and SPS employees.
• STARS Faculty Academy is not a traditional grant-writing workshop; STARS positions faculty for funding through empowerment with the tools and networking needed to self-direct professional development and steer a career.
