Honors Instructors of Distinction is a designation that recognizes instructor involvement, service, and excellence in core contributions to the University Honors Program.
Each year, the new class of Honors Instructors of Distinction will be recognized during the spring Honors Day ceremony. Applications are accepted throughout the year. The deadline to be included in a specific class is March 1 of each year. Applications received after that deadline will be considered for the following year's class.
For selection, instructors must demonstrate teaching contributions within the University Honors Program:
- Teaching in the Honors Program (seminars, mini-sections or in-course contracts) at least twice over the last two years
- Evidence of excellence in teaching (e.g., honors teaching evaluations, teaching awards or nominations, student testimonials)
