First-year Retreat

All incoming first-year students are invited to attend the Honors Retreat during the Week of Welcome. Here, you'll learn more about the program's requirements and benefits and ways to maximize your first year at NIU. You will interact with Honors student leaders, faculty and staff and learn how to make the most out of your college education. While you're at it, you'll make new friends, hike, compete in the annual tournament games and enjoy fantastic food!
