We provide access to resources and activities that support your physical health and emotional well-being. If you're experiencing a challenging life event or emotional issue, review our information on self-care and assessment. You'll learn tips for dealing with the situation and how to get more help, if needed.
We provide presentations over the lunch hour on a variety of wellness topics. See upcoming sessions on our training schedule.
Health and Wellness Fair
Each spring, we sponsor the NIU Health and Wellness Fair. The event provides information on health and well-being to employees, students, retirees and community members. We invite health-related organizations from on and off campus to participate and share knowledge and resources with attendees.
Annual Flu Shots
Each fall, we partner with the DeKalb County Health Department and the School of Nursing to provide flu shots at the Holmes Student Center. The 2019 dates have passed. You may still obtain the flu shot at the DeKalb County Health Department (2550 N. Annie Glidden Rd.). For more information, contact the health department at 815-748-2467.
We occasionally offer additional health-related events, such as blood drives and Life Line screenings.
