Yes, family members and significant others residing in an employee’s household are eligible for Employee Well-being services. Counselors can help employees and their families resolve personal problems that may be affecting job performance and/or personal wellbeing. Our advisement services can assist with career and education development and other areas of personal growth.
Yes, retirees are welcome to use Employee Well-being services at no charge.
Employee Well-being services are free of charge. If a referral is made to an outside provider on your behalf, counselors will do their best to secure services that are coordinated with your health insurance benefits.
Employee Well-being counselors are trained to assist in many areas that include but are not limited to emotional issues such as depression, anxiety and grief; financial difficulties; couples, family, or relationship conflicts; personal concerns; stress-related problems; difficult work situations; and alcohol/drug abuse; career and education development and onboarding for new employees.
All information regarding your use of Employee Well-being services is confidential. Information will not be released without your written permission except where directed by law. Information does not become part of your personnel file and the use of services will not affect your job security or future promotions.
Employees and family members can contact Employee Well-being at 815-753-9191 Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. to schedule an appointment.
Yes, work time may be used for your appointments with Employee Well-being. However, based on operational needs, your department may ask you to re-schedule appointments to another time.
