Annual Flu Shot Clinic

NIU Campus Flu Clinics for 2023 are scheduled for Wednesday, September 20th and Tuesday, October 17th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Holmes Student Center, Ballroom.

The entrance to the clinic will be at the east side door of the Ballroom with the exit through the west door. Vaccine will not be given to individuals allergic to eggs, or who report a history of previous adverse reactions to the influenza vaccine.

Please schedule an appointment for the clinic online and pre-fill out the client form to bring with you the day of the clinic. 

Day of the Clinic

  • Bring the Pre-filled client form
  • Stop at the check-in table.
  • Proceed to staff to direct you to which Health Department table you need to proceed to.
  • Remember to dress so that your upper arm is accessible.
*Note: retirees/spouse of retiree: bring your medical advantage cards.  Students, spouses, or dependents bring insurance cards if you have verified coverage.

About the Flu Vaccine

If you were unable to attend the campus clinics, the flu shot may be obtained at the DeKalb County Health Department, 2550 N Annie Glidden Road, DeKalb, IL. Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

For more information, call 815-748-2467. The above restrictions also apply if you receive your vaccine at the DeKalb County Health Department. State NIU ID and insurance cards will be required. Flu vaccine must be administered prior to December 31, 2021 in order to be paid by the State of Illinois.
