Student Learning Outcomes

  1. An understanding of interrelationships among the many aspects of the field of music including performance, theory, history, pedagogy, learning, and culture.
  2. Skills and knowledge of repertoire that are requisite for artistic self-expression including solo performance, ensemble performance, and conducting.
  3. An understanding of musical elements, structure, and style, through both aural and visual analysis, and the ability to communicate such understanding to others.
  4. The ability to compose, arrange, and improvise
