Shyann Beach (she/her/hers)

I am a staff therapist working at NIU Counseling and Consultation Services since 2019. When working with students I use a person-centered approach to offer a warm, non-judgmental, empathic space to help individuals address behaviors and patterns they wish to change and to promote personal growth.

My approach to counseling is centered on understanding multicultural and systemic factors that have impacted the lives of students and assisting each person reach their therapeutic goals.

Outside of my work as a therapist I enjoy cheering on the Chicago Cubs, watching Friends and The Office on repeat and listening to every true-crime podcast I can find.
