Mike Langer (he/him/his)

Mike is a graduate assistant in Counseling and Consultation Services, pursuing a M.S.Ed. in clinical mental health counseling here at NIU. He holds a Master of Divinity from North Park Theological Seminary and a B.A. in Spanish education from Illinois State University.

For the past thirteen years, Mike has served as a pastor and spiritual director in Chicagoland and, most recently, Connecticut, but began his career teaching Spanish at the high school level. Mike has traveled extensively throughout the Spanish-speaking West for studies and service projects and has served in various capacities as an ally and advocate for undocumented immigrants. On the weekends, you will most likely find him gardening, cooking or biking with his wife and two daughters.
