Grant Writing Undergraduate Certificate

Careers across disciplines, but especially those in the nonprofit sector, count on the same skills used in grant writing. Grants, including those from government and foundations, are a vital revenue source to support community needs. Grant writing calls on highly valuable, cross-marketable skills including the art and science of concise writing; developing and growing relationships; understanding how intentionally tracked data enhance program development outcomes; and weaving all these together to tell an impactful story of community needs in the government and nonprofit sectors. Those same skills can also be called upon in the business sector and in daily personal activities.

To complete the certificate, you’ll enroll in 12 hours of coursework. Each class is three credit hours, so you can complete the certificate in just four courses.

After completing the necessary requirements, the certificate appears on your official transcript just like a major or minor.
