During your time at NIU, you can participate in an internship. It’s a great way to earn course credit while gaining hands-on experience, exploring career options and building your professional network. Internships are available at a variety of locations, including forest preserve districts, private companies, local governments and nonprofit organizations.

Getting Academic Credit

You can get academic credit for your internship by enrolling in ENVS 492. You must submit the following to Melissa Burlingame at before you enroll:
