The Department of Biologicals Sciences is one of the most popular majors on campus. We have average approximately 600 undergraduate biology majors, and 75 undergraduate minors. Our graduate programs include M.S. degrees in biological sciences, with or without specialization in human anatomical sciences or bioinformatics, as well as a concentration in biochemical and biophysical studies, or a certificate in bioinformatics. We also offer an M.S. in secondary science teacher licensure.

During the admissions process for a Ph.D. in biological sciences, the student must indicate an area of study in the department and obtain a faculty adviser in that area who will agree to plan the student’s first year of study.
