Benefits the Rare Books and Special Collections Department. Special emphasis is placed on British drama.

Funds the acquisition of materials on physical education and sports
The William R. DuBois Memorial
Funds the acquisition of nineteenth century American literature with special emphasis on Walt Whitman.
The Friends of NIU Libraries Endowment
Funds the acquisition of costly items, to be housed in Rare Books and Special Collections.
The Anne Greene Memorial
Funds the acquisition of modern drama and literature of the western world
The Bernadine Hanby Endowment
Funds the acquisition of materials on education, travel, and recreation.
The Tom and Deanne Holzberlein Endowment
Funds the purchase of hardware, software, and other technology for the Cataloging and Automated Records Department
The Horatio Alger Society Endowment
Funds the acquisition of Horatio Alger, Jr. books and related materials
The Mary Hickey Memorial
Funds the acquisition of materials on nature and outdoor education
The Gordon W. & Jeanne M. Huber Endowment
Funds the purchase of popular children's literature, with an emphasis on boys' and girls' series books.
The Takashi Ikemoto Endowment
Funds the acquisition of materials on Japan, Buddhism, and Zen in particular
The Martin Kallich Endowment
Funds the acquisition of eighteenth century related materials.
Bill & Jo Monat Library Endowment
Funds the acquisition of materials for the social sciences and humanities
The Nancy Peterson Memorial
Funds the acquisition of children's literature

The Peggy Rae Sapienza Endowment
Supports the growth, maintenance, and promotion of the science fiction and fantasy collections in Rare Books and Special Collections, including documenting SF/F Fandom.
The Katherine Walker Library Work Scholarship
Scholarship benefits students (preference to undergraduates) who are interested in library and information science as a career.
The Russell & Betty Wood Library Endowment
Funds the acquisition of library materials for the general collection
