About the Space
The Huskie Relaxation Station is a peaceful and welcoming place where NIU students can take a break and recharge. In partnership with Student Wellness , this space offers calming activities like coloring, yoga, and meditation. It’s designed to support your mental health and overall well-being. Please note: this space is intended for relaxation, not studying. If you're looking for a quiet place to focus on coursework, Founders Memorial Library offers dedicated study rooms for your use.
What You’ll Find
Students are welcome to enjoy:
- Educational materials like handouts, brochures, and books
- Comfort items such as fidget toys, coloring books, puzzles, and headphones
- Relaxing features including soft lighting, cozy seating, pillows, rugs, fake plants, and yoga mats
Using the Space Respectfully
To keep the Relaxation Station enjoyable for everyone:
- Please share the space and avoid blocking the door or stopping others from entering.
- Items in the room are for use while you're there - please don’t take them with you.
- Keep noise at a friendly level and use headphones for music or videos.
- The library may occasionally use the space for special events. If that happens, we’ll kindly ask you to step out for a bit.
