Almost every department on campus has student employment opportunities, with many— like our Housing and Dining services and our Northern Ambassadors — regularly hiring.

A good way to help with expenses, having a job during the academic year offers plenty of perks. You’ll meet new people, work more closely with faculty and staff, enjoy a flexible schedule and build your resume.

As a Huskie, you have access to jobs both on campus and off through our free online job board Huskies Get Hired your first semester, throughout your NIU journey and even after graduation. Your zID account provides easy access.

Along with searching and applying for jobs, you can upload multiple resumes and cover letters, schedule interviews and get career advice.
