Get Involved

Students can still be involved in the Student Government Association even if they miss out on the election cycle. Participation can range in having conversations with Senators, Executive Branch members or Office of the Speaker personnel about issues that one believes should be raised.

Students interested in joining as a cabinet position or Supreme Court appointment can email sga@niu.edu or the SGA President directly to see if there are positions open.

For those interested in joining as a Senator during the academic year when Student Government Association is in session should review the SGA election process. They would only serve in the current session, not any future session.
