Nutrition Coaching at Northern Illinois University Recreation and Wellness (RecWell) is performed by graduate nutrition interns in training, "Nutrition Coaches". Nutrition Coaches are supervised by a licensed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. Participation in nutrition coaching is voluntary and there can be no guarantees regarding the likelihood of success or outcome of coaching. Nutrition Coaching clients acknowledge and consent to:
Provide truthful personal medical data to their nutrition coach.
Allow the nutrition coach to discuss their case with the supervising Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
Allow their case to be presented at group supervision meetings with other NIU nutrition coaches, medical professionals, and mental health professionals but the case will not be attached to their name or identity in any way.
Nutrition coaching is a non-refundable program.
Arrive on time to scheduled visits. Their Bursar account or credit card will be charged $10 for no-show or cancellations with less than 24-hour advanced notification.
