HR Partner Support

HR partners can serve as a connecting point for your needs, you'll still have access to and engagement with the individual functional areas of HR. Their purpose is to guide you toward the resources you (and/or your team members) need. Some of the ways your partner can provide support:

  • Assisting with addressing, providing advice, or advancing transactional requests from your unit
  • Engaging you around ways to improve employee morale and retention
  • Collaborating with you on anticipated vacancies and strategizing on succession planning
  • Guiding you on HR policies and procedures
  • Supporting in the development and delivery of performance evaluations and performance improvement planning, where needed
  • Discussing performance management concerns, including guiding through things like the corrective action process or dismissal during the probationary period
  • Coordinating additional support with labor relations in navigating the needs of union employees
  • Supporting the non-union faculty and staff grievance process
